The City of Charles Town, West Virginia, is soliciting Request for Proposals (RFP) from businesses to provide renovation and restoration services for two structures with significant historical value to the community. These structures include the First Free School and Star Lodge, two buildings that played prominent roles in our city’s African American heritage. The city’s primary goal is to restore the structural integrity for both structures and perform other basic repairs to preserve the buildings and set the stage for additional future improvements.
The City of Charles Town is re-releasing a request for proposals for the purchase of 114 W. Liberty Street on July 1, 2020. Deadline to submit is September 25, 2020.
